EDM Challenge #103: Draw Exercise Equipment

Here's my third EDM challenge, #103 draw exercise equipment.

These are my purple hand weights and my iPod Shuffle. When I do exercise at home, I use these in the living room. Otherwise, I'm taking a circuit weight training class at work. I should be much thinner by now!!!

After looking at this, I realize that I made the top weight longer than the bottom one - I should have shortened the top one or lengthened the bottom. Sometimes It's hard to tell until I see it from a distance.

Great light refections in this one - I often find I see 'errors' when I have scanned a drawing and see it on the screen - not errors really - quirkinesses, I think. I wonder who did name your Canberra Heights Apartments?

SUPER JOB, EMMA!! (I wigged out and sketched only ONE of mine!) Love the inclusion of the Ipod too!

I set up a similar still life since I can't sketch at the gym. It looked simple enough but getting the shapes correct is harder than I first thought. I am starting my 3rd try and aren't anywhere near the wonderful results you produced! I am starting to feel like a "dumbbell" but have a week to conquer this challenge.

I like the way you arranged the weights with the player. Also like the light and shadow on the weights.

Very Nice, looks exactly like the weights I have and never use :-)

They look sort of like Cary Grant's legs. ;-)

Thanks everyone for taking a gander at my drawing! I appreciate your nice comments! I've been looking at all of your exercise equipment too - an impressive show. There is so much talent among the EDM members...it's humbling, for sure. I've been playing around with my paints and sketchbook. I haven't done any drawing for a couple of years, so it takes a bit to get into it again.

As for Cary Grant's legs (which really were skinny)....you have to take a look at Snakebite's photo to know what that's about!
